A 25 year old man was arrested by the Uttarakhand police upon a complaint lodged against him by a girl, under Sections 354 of the IPC(molestation) and 66A, for allegedly sending her obscene text messages and images through social networking messenger ‘Whatsapp’. The college girl who did not know how the accused got her phone number, alleged in her complaint that the person,identified as Waseem Ahmed, had been harassing her for nearly a month and that is why she had approached the police for help.
